Education
Dr. Martin Erdmann studied theology at Columbia International University in the USA (Master of Divinity), the University of Basel, and the University of Aberdeen (Master of Theology). Brunel University London awarded him a doctorate in church history in 2000. From 2000 to 2001, he pursued postdoctoral studies at the Séminaire Libre De Théologie À Genève. He received his habilitation in dogmatic theology from Gáspár Károli University in Budapest in 2017.
Profession
In 1996, Dr Martin Erdmann founded Online Communication Systems in Columbus, Ohio, USA. He served as a pastor in Wermelskirchen (Germany). At the Basel State-Independent Theological University, he was Head of the New Testament Department for four years. From 2003 to 2010, he taught as an Assistant Professor of Theology (distance learning) at Patrick Henry College, Virginia, USA. As a senior scientist for the University Hospital of Basel, he authored a study on the ethical issues surrounding nanotechnology as part of a five-year research project. He has been Director of the Verax Institute since 2003. Since 2024, he has been leading the South Black Forest Christian Congregation.
